Is Success More About Attitude Than Aptitude?

We’ve all heard stories of people who were underachievers in school, yet ultimately found success in life. People who were usually teased for being “slow” and yet found their true passion after leaving school.

So what do you think made the difference to these people? What do you think made it possible for them to fight over the stigma placed onto them and change their lives for the better? To put it frankly, I believe it is really our attitude that determines our success in life. Our attitude, not your aptitude, is the most important leverage that we have in order to find true success in our lives.

What I mean by this is simple – attitude is EVERYTHING! Your attitude in life can either make you or break you. You can have all of the talent, skills and knowledge in the world. But if you have a negative attitude or outlook in life, you will have a difficult time rising to the same point as you would with a positive mental attitude.

Sometimes, Aptitude Just Ain’t Enough

Now don’t get me wrong. I am not saying that having aptitude is a bad thing. In fact, it is an advantage that is always good to have. It’s like starting a race several meters ahead of your opponents – you already have a head start if you have overwhelming aptitude. But, if your attitude is always negative and pulling you down, you will quickly lose this advantage that you have built. Other people who have a better outlook in life will eventually overtake you – and you will be left wondering where you went wrong.

When you learn how to go beyond a positive attitude, everything looks lighter and brighter and since you know that thoughts become things, a brighter attitude brings success more steadily than an unpleasant one. Without a positive attitude, its hard to get things done because your energy is diverted to aggravation and frustration instead. When you learn how to go beyond a positive attitude, you can shift your life to a whole new level.

Practicing self-hypnosis and meditation can help you let go of stressful thoughts. Just spend 20 minutes per day feeling relaxed and peaceful and listening to the powerful suggestions to help you develop a more positive attitude and you can find your mind shifts into a more positive place.

If you want to develop a positive mental attitude, spending a few minutes of your day meditating is a good way to get started. Hypnocloud is a hypnosis app that you can listen to anytime, anywhere.
