Being able to read body language is a big advantage that you can use to further push your agendas and goals. Ever heard of the saying that “there is more than meets the eye”? Sometimes, being able to read the subtle changes in a person’s way of talking, acting and movements can really help you understand the thoughts residing in a person’s mind.

Why Is It Important To Know How To Read Body Language

Did you know that actual verbal communication accounts to only around 10% (or even less) of the overall means to convey a message? In fact, words spoken verbally oftentimes do not reflect what people really think or feel. The only way that you can determine the true inner feelings and thoughts of people who don’t want to convey their real emotions through words is by reading their body language. Knowing how to read body language gives you an advantage and may even help you in achieving your goals — may it be landing that dream job or finding the perfect partner.

Subtle things such as movement of the lips, the sleight of a hand, the turning of one’s head or even the shifting of body towards or away from you can easily give you an idea if a person likes you or dislikes you. Using this information, you can easily determine the actions that you have to take in order to anticipate the feelings of people towards you. For example, if a person seems to like you and that person shows it through body language, you can easily anticipate how to interact with that person. In similar fashion, if a person seems to dislike you, you can find ways to win that person’s trust and affection — and you can easily find out about it through the body language that he or she shows.

To read body language is an advantage, but careful practice is needed in order to acquire the skills needed for it. This can be done through first calming your subconscious and accepting the suggestions that other people are throwing right at your direction. This cannot be done if your subconscious is disturbed and all over the place. Practicing self-hypnosis and meditation during your free time is a great way to help calm your subconscious mind.
